| Romero signed two months before he turned 19.
2018 Romero missed the first month of the DSL season, then made 13 relief appearances. He had a good K rate, but opponents batted .286 against him and he walked too many. 2019 The Pirates brought Romero to Bradenton in the fall of 2018. He figured to be with one of the short season teams, but he was injured and missed the entire season. 2020 2021 Romero made nine relief appearances in the FCL and obviously had a very rough time. He was scored upon in all but two of his outings. Romero’s been a pro for four seasons, but he’s thrown only 26.1 IP total. |
