WTM’S PIRATE PLAYER PROFILES |
Spano was one of several catchers the Pirates signed to fill in at the lower levels. They have an increased need due to the addition of a new affiliate at advanced rookie Bristol. Spano was considered a good defender in college, but didn’t hit a great deal and had a brutal senior year. He’ll probably fill in at Bristol or Jamestown, or both. |
