WTM’s PLAYER PROFILE |
Custodio originally signed with Colorado, but his deal was voided because he failed his physical. The cause was a bruise that didn’t turn out to be major. Custodio has a good bat and the potential to hit for some power. His speed and defensive potential are above average.
2019 Custodio hit well in his debut, including solid power. He didn’t walk much, but also seldom struck out. He did well as a base stealer while spending about two-thirds of his time in center. 2020 2021 For some reason, the Pirates sent Custodio back to the DSL. He spent much of the season hurt. When he played, he hit about the same as the year before. Custodio was in extended spring training, so he should finally reach the Gulf Coast League in 2022. |
