| Connor is the brother of current Pirates minor leaguer Jared Goedert, who is also a third baseman. Their dad also played college ball. The younger Goedert has a commitment to Wichita State for 2014, though Wichita just fired its long-time coach, so the Pirates may have a better chance to lure him away from college than they would otherwise. In 2013 at Noesho Community College, he led the team in doubles, homers, RBI’s, runs, hits, total bases and slugging. Goedert is athletic, playing basketball in high school as well. |
