Baker is a big, hard-throwing righty who also starred at basketball in high school.  He’s a bit raw on the mound as the two seasons overlap, but he already touches 93 MPH and can sit 90 at times.  Both of his secondary pitches, a curve and changeup, need work, as does his delivery.  Baker is very athletic, though, so once he concentrates on baseball full-time, he may make more progress.  He has a college commitment to North Florida and likely will end up there.
