I’m a huge fan of Kang the Conqueror, as you may already know.
The Marvel supervillain is expected to be the next Thanos-level big bad in the MCU, and I can’t wait for it to happen. We’ve already seen Kang once in Loki. We’ll see him again in the next Ant-Man movie. Who knows when else he could show up.
There are infinite versions of Kang, and typically the best stories about Kang focus on three to six different variants of the character.
My dream one day would be to write a Kang the Conqueror story, ideally as part of the MCU, but also for regular old Marvel Comics. My side project right now is working on a time traveler novel series that is partially based off Kang, along with musical artists like Layne Staley, John Mayer, and MF DOOM.
So, it was really cool this week when I walked into my local comic book shop and they had a Kang the Conqueror poster set aside for me, knowing how much I like the character.

I also picked up Avengers #297, which features Nebula stealing a Kang suit and leading a mind-controlled Avengers team into a time bubble to try and one-up Kang.
Next week, I’m going to write a little more on the MCU’s Kang, after watching the Loki finale for the umpteenth time.
Today, I’ll be writing about the MLB lockout.
