According to JJ Cooper from Baseball America, the Pittsburgh Pirates have re-signed left-handed pitcher Nathan Kirby to a minor league contract. Kirby was on the minor league free agent list, which was released yesterday.
LHP Nathan Kirby is on the MiLB free agent list we just released, but he's back off the market. He re-signed with the Pirates according to a source.

The 27-year-old (turns 28 later this month) Kirby was acquired by the Pirates on July 4, 2021 from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for Kevin Kramer. Kirby had a 1.93 ERA in 17 games prior to the deal, and a 6.52 ERA in 17 games after the deal, pitching at Double-A for both teams. He had 56 strikeouts and a .217 BAA in 36 innings, but he also walked 28 batters in his limited time. He nearly doubled his strikeout rate after joining the Pirates.
