Today is the final day of the season, though we are just ten days away from the Arizona Fall League starting up, so there will be prospects to follow soon enough. The Pirates are still fighting for the last draft spot. If they win or the Texas Rangers lose today, the Pirates will pick fourth. If the Pirates lose and Rangers win, the Pirates will have the third pick and a larger bonus pool.

Carmen Mlodzinski was listed as today’s starter for Indianapolis late last night when I wrote up this article, but it now says Osvaldo Bido. I wouldn’t completely rule out Mlodzinski pitching today. Also, the game time has changed from 1:05 PM to 1:35 PM.
