NEWS AND RUMORS
Follow along throughout the day as we provide updates and commentary on the daily Pirates news, along with links to stories around Pittsburgh Baseball Network.
Some medical updates from today. There’s good news on Steven Brault in that his injury is nothing serious, but he’s also on the 60-day IL, so he’s not pitching again this year. David Bednar could return shortly after his ten days are up. Michael Chavis will be coming back soon, though it will be as a DH at first in Indianapolis, so he won’t see much (if any) time in the majors with the season winding down.
