According to the MiLB transactions page, Pittsburgh Pirates first overall pick Henry Davis has been promoted to the Greensboro Grasshoppers. Davis played just two games in the Florida Gulf Coast League before being promoted. His team had two games rained out and two others canceled due to COVID cases, plus there’s been three scheduled off-days since he debuted nine days ago. Davis was strong in those two games, hitting two doubles and a homer in seven at-bats. He’s skipping right over Low-A, which isn’t completely surprising, since they have two catching prospects at the level in Endy Rodriguez and Abrahan Gutierrez.
