According to Ken Rosenthal, Dee Strange-Gordon has become a free agent, deciding to take his release from the Pittsburgh Pirates. He joined Indianapolis on July 8th, and in 16 games he hit .221/.264/.397 over 72 plate appearances. The Pirates were his fourth organization this year, as he tours the National League Central, previously spending time with the Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds. The Pirates recently added numerous infielders via trades, so he was going to be fighting for playing time if he chose to remain around.
Dee Strange-Gordon is a free agent again. He has chosen to take his release from the Pirates, per source.
