Baseball America released an article on Wednesday afternoon looking at a schedule outline and plans for the 2021 Arizona Fall League season. The 2020 AFL season was canceled due to the pandemic.
The schedule this year is slated to have 30 games per team, with the usual total of six teams in the league. It’s going to begin on October 13th and run through November 20th, which will be the date of the league championship game. There will also be a Fall-Stars (All-Star) game on November 13th. The roster size will remain the same, with seven prospects per big league club, and five teams making up each club in the league, giving each club a 35-man roster. In the past the league participants have been announced around September 1st, so we should find out which Pittsburgh Pirates prospects will be attending the league in about 5-6 weeks.
