The New York Mets have claimed right-handed pitcher Geoff Hartlieb on waivers according to Jason Mackey. The Pittsburgh Pirates designated Hartlieb for assignment on July 3rd.

Hartlieb was a 29th round draft pick of the Pirates in 2016, who made it to the majors in three years. In his three big league seasons, he has a 6.97 ERA in 62 innings over 54 games, with a 42:61 BB/SO ratio and 1.82 WHIP. He pitched four big league games this year, allowing four runs in 4.2 innings.
