Game Recap: Ryan Harbin threw three shutout innings in his season debut this year. His second outing did not go well. He gave up three runs on four hits and a walk in the first inning on Monday. He settled down over the next two innings, allowing a hit and a walk, while finishing with four strikeouts. Christian Charle, who tossed four shutout innings in his debut last week, took over in relief for Harbin. Charle matched his performance from last week, with four more shutout frames in the 6-3 win in seven innings. He allowed two hits, walked one and had five strikeouts.
On offense, Ji-Hwan Bae played the full game and went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Angel Basabe had a two-run single with the bases loaded in the first inning after the Pirates went down 3-0 early. Franrielis Bastardo tied the game up with an RBI double in the second. Fleury Nova gave the Pirates the lead with an RBI triple. Ji-Hwan Bae extended the lead to 5-3 with a single that scored Nova, then Bae scored on a single by Bastardo.

Game Recap: The FCL Red Sox were happy when Joelvis left the building on Monday afternoon. Joelvis Del Rosario tossed five no-hit innings, allowing just a walk, while striking out seven batters. In his season debut last week, he gave up two runs over three innings. Adrian Mendez took over in relief and allowed one hit, one walk and one run in two innings. Carlos Campos took over in the eighth and tossed two shutout innings to close out the 5-1 win. He struck out four batters. The offense put up all five runs in the second inning. Gustavo Polanco got the scoring started with an RBI single. Jasiah Dixon made it 2-0 with a single. Jack Herman made it 4-0 with a single, and Rodolfo Nolasco topped off the scoring with a single. Dixon had two singles and a double. Herman had a double and a single. Nolasco had two singles. Claudio Finol had two singles and a walk. Finol won the FCL Player of the Week award for the first week of the season last week, despite playing just two games. He went 6-for-7 with four doubles.
