Game Recap: Indianapolis went down 5-0 in the top of the first inning and managed to comeback late for a 6-5 walk-off win. They got three home runs in this game, one from Travis Swaggerty (his third of the season), Chris Sharpe’s second homer and Dustin Fowler’s third homer of the year tied it in the eighth inning. In the ninth inning, walks to Swaggerty and Fowler set up Christian Bethancourt with the RBI single to end the game. Swaggerty is hitting just .200 this season, but he has a .744 OPS due to the homers. Hunter Owen played his first game at Triple-A this season, going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts, which matched his MLB output.
Starter Chase De Jong served up five earned runs in the first inning, and made it through just three innings total, giving the bullpen some extra work. Blake Weiman, Matt Eckelman and Shea Spitzbarth each tossed two scoreless frames. Weiman has a 1.69 ERA, while the other two have a 1.93 mark this season.
ALTOONA

Game Recap: Altoona dropped a 7-3 decision to Binghamton, who won their first game of the season. Starter Jeffrey Passantino allowed three runs over three innings. Oddy Nunez followed and gave up three runs in two innings. Cam Vieaux was out next and allowed one run in his two frames. Hunter Stratton finished things off for the pitchers, throwing a scoreless eighth. Mason Martin provided most of the offense with a solo homer (his second of the season) and a sacrifice fly.He has a .333 batting average in 39 at-bats. Canaan Smith-Njigba hit his fourth double and stole his third base. Daniel Amaral had a double, a run scored and an outfield assist.
GREENSBORO
Starting Pitcher: Carmen Mlodzinski 3.1 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 6 SO

Game Recap: Greensboro lost 4-1 to Rome on Sunday. Carmen Mlodzinski made his second start, after throwing three shutout innings in his debut last Sunday. He went 3.1 innings today and gave up three runs on four hits and four walks. Two of the runs were earned. He has ten strikeouts in 6.1 innings. Garrett Leonard followed Mlodzinski with 1.2 scoreless innings. Trey McGough had a solid outing, throwing three scoreless frames. Austin Roberts gave up a run in the ninth.
The offense was quiet in this game. Fabricio Macias had a triple, walk and stolen base. His triple was the only extra-base hit for the Grasshoppers. Jared Triolo drove in the only run with a single in the fourth inning. Matt Fraizer had a single and a walk.
BRADENTON

Game Recap: Bradenton dropped a 6-3 decision to Dunedin, as errors led to five unearned runs for Marauder pitchers. Adrian Florencio had a decent looking stat line, but he was fairly wild in his 3.1 innings. Besides the three walks, he also hit two batters. While he didn’t give up any earned runs, Dunedin scored four runs against him. Logan Hofmann was out next and he allowed one unearned run in 1.2 innings. In four appearances, he has a 0.00 ERA in 7.2 innings with 13 strikeouts. Denny Roman allowed the only earned run during his two innings of work. JC Flowers tossed a scoreless eighth. He has given up one run in ten innings.
Bradenton scored first in this contest. Maikol Escotto drove in Jasiah Dixon with the first run. They added a second run on a bases loaded walk to Norkis Marcos. The Marauders made it 3-0 in the second inning on a ground out by Escotto. Dunedin scored the next seven runs. Escotto has a .353 average. Dixon picked up two steals to give him ten steals in ten games. Sergio Campana had a single and his first double, while also stealing his sixth base. Will Matthiessen had two walks and three strikeouts in five plate appearances. He has ten walks and 18 strikeouts in ten games. Ethan Goforth stole three bases today. He went 0-for-2 in steals with Bristol after being drafted in 2019.
