The Pittsburgh Pirates (5-7) take on the San Diego Padres (8-5) in game four of a four-game set at PNC Park on Thursday afternoon. The Pirates are sending out Mitch Keller for his third start, while the Padres are countering with right-hander Chris Paddack, who is also making his third start. He has a 5.63 ERA in eight innings, going four innings in each start. Keller has faced the Chicago Cubs twice this year, allowing three runs in three innings during his debut, followed by one run over five innings in his last outing. Tim Williams wrote about Keller’s problem with left-handed batters yesterday.
