Winter Leagues: Beau Sulser Pitches Gem in Australia; Madris and Glendinning See Action

In the Dominican on Wednesday night, Yerry De Los Santos had a bit of a rough outing in his team’s 6-3 loss. He recorded one out on a strikeout, while allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits. He committed a throwing error that led to one run and he also balked twice. This is just the second time this winter that De Los Santos has allowed runs. Both time have occurred in the playoffs.

Oneil Cruz hasn’t played the last two games due to a minor back injury. It happened on Monday and it was originally thought that he would miss just Tuesday’s game, so he should/could be back in the next contest.

In Mexico, Randy Romero started in center field and he went 0-for-3 with a stolen base. He went 0-for-2 in the playoff opener on Tuesday. His team lost 2-1, dropping them down 0-2 in the semi-finals series.

In Australia on Thursday, Beau Sulser pitched a gem over Adelaide, tossing five shutout innings on two hits, no walks and three strikeouts. In his previous outing he allowed one run on two hits and a walk in four innings of work.
