With nothing else going on around the Pittsburgh Pirates universe, I decided to post a Winter Leagues article without my usual minimum for content. I try to post articles when there are at least four players to talk about, but that’s been tough this winter. I’ll bend my own rules when there is a highlight worth sharing and I guess this play at shortstop from Oneil Cruz on Monday night qualifies. He definitely didn’t get here for his “offense”, going 0-for-4 with four strikeouts in his team’s 5-1 win. The defensive play here is a gem though.

Yerry De Los Santos pitched a scoreless inning of relief, allowing one hit, with no walks or strikeouts. He has given up runs in just one of his nine appearances this winter.
The schedule in Australia is hoping for all six teams to see action on Thursday. If that happens, then I’ll either post an update on Thursday morning or Friday morning (depending on when games end there). It will hopefully be the first time that all six teams see action on the same day this season.
