On Tuesday in the Dominican, Yerry De Los Santos allowed his first hit of the winter. He tossed a scoreless inning with one strikeout, giving him four shutout frames on one hit, no walks and six strikeouts. The 22-year-old De Los Santos is going to be one of the top Pirates prospects available in tomorrow’s Rule 5 draft.

Gigantes del Cibao announced that Oneil Cruz has been out with an injury. They didn’t go into specifics, just saying that he’s experiencing physical discomfort. Cruz last played on November 17th and he’s been in just three games this winter.
