On November 25th, the Pittsburgh Pirates picked up right-handed pitcher Ashton Goudeau off of waivers from the Colorado Rockies. They placed Will Craig on waivers that day to clear a roster spot. It turns out that they risked losing Craig for nothing (he ended up clearing waivers), because Goudeau was lost on waivers to the Baltimore Orioles on Monday afternoon. He spent 12 days with the Pirates. The 28-year-old Goudeau debuted in the majors this past season, throwing 8.1 innings over four relief appearances. He allowed seven runs (7.56 ERA) on 15 hits, with two walks and two strikeouts.
