Winter Leagues: Gregory Polanco is Off to a Slow Start; Stephen Alemais Suffers Injury

In the Dominican on Wednesday night, Gregory Polanco played his third game and he went 0-for-5 with a strikeout, while serving as the DH for the second straight day. He is now 1-for-13 at the plate.

Stephen Alemais started at shortstop and he went 1-for-1 with a run scored, but he left after injuring his arm in the second inning while making a highlight reel play on defense. According to the team, he suffered a dislocated right shoulder and will be reevaluated today. He is 2-for-11 in five games. We will pass on an update when we get one.

This highlight video has the hit by Alemais right around the one-minute mark, a low liner into right field. Then around the two-minute mark, you see the play that he got hurt on

That’s all for today. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
