First Pitch: Upcoming Article Schedule and Site Updates

I’m wrapping up some work for Baseball America today, and there’s not much to discuss, so this will be an open discussion thread.

**I’ve started a few season recap articles this week. I looked at the 2020 rotation, then looked ahead to the 2021 rotation and beyond. Yesterday I started with the center field recap, and that will continue today. The catching position will be third in the recaps, starting tomorrow and running through the weekend.

Our goal since the start of this site has been to provide articles on a daily basis. That’s always difficult in the offseason, when there are months to fill with hardly any news. It’s even more difficult following the Pirates, when you’re never sure how active they will be in the offseason, and when history suggests there won’t be much to write about.

Fortunately, the offseason provides a good time to look back at the recent team, and look forward to next year’s and future teams. We’ve got the recap/preview series for every position scheduled to run through the end of the month. That will take us to the start of the offseason and the winter meetings. It’s always nice to have about a month and a half of articles penciled in by early November.

**We’ve got two articles scheduled on the site today. I’ve got my look at the future of the center field position, following yesterday’s recap of Bryan Reynolds in 2020. Wilbur Miller has an article looking at the changes to the Pirates’ pitch selection.

The 2020 Prospect Guide returns to print for our tenth  we are releasing three variant covers, featuring Mitch Keller and Ke’Bryan Hayes. Visit our shop page to order these extremely limited items!
