Others of Note
From the 2019-20 international signing class, pitchers Yojeiry Osoria, Cristopher Cruz and Gilberto Alcala are all present, as well as outfielder Solomon Maguire. They are all at Pirate City for the first time, just like the 2020 draft/NDFA players.
From the 2019 DSL group, Juan Jerez, Sergio Campana, Alexander Mojica, Dariel Lopez and Rodolfo Nolasco are all present. They have been to Pirate City before, last year for instructs and this year in Spring Training.
Some of the players there now never left Pirate City. The players from Colombia and Venezuela remained there when everyone else went home in March, so they have all stayed there for instructs as well.
I’m told that games will begin this week, but I have yet to see the schedule. It’s going to be a short schedule of games, with the group leaving there by the end of the month.
