Live Game Discussion: Pirates vs Cubs, 7:05 PM; Oliva Starts in Center Field

The Pittsburgh Pirates (16-39) take on the Chicago Cubs (32-23) in game three of a four-game series at PNC Park. The Pirates won 3-2 yesterday. Trevor Williams makes his final start tonight, facing off against right-hander Kyle Hendricks. Williams has a 6.70 ERA in 49.2 innings, with 45 strikeouts and a 1.63 WHIP. Hendricks will be making his 12th start. He has a 2.93 ERA in 73.2 innings, with 61 strikeouts and an 0.99 WHIP.

Cole Tucker won’t be returning this season. He would have been eligible to come back for the final three games, but the Pirates decided to shut him down.

Here are today’s lineups. I only put Oliva in the title because he switched spots and it reminded me of yesterday’s title. I won’t include him there again…unless he plays right field tomorrow.
