The Pittsburgh Pirates (15-37) take on the St Louis Cardinals (25-24) in the finale of a five-game series on Sunday. The Pirates lost a tough one last night 5-4. Joe Musgrove will be on the mound this afternoon against right-hander Jack Flaherty. Musgrove has made six starts, posting a 5.74 ERA in 26.2 innings, with 34 strikeouts and a 1.54 WHIP. He’s still looking for his first win of the season. Flaherty is making his eighth start of the season. He has a 5.52 ERA in 29.1 innings, with 33 strikeouts and a 1.26 WHIP.

The Pirates added international bonus pool space in deals with the Cardinals and Orioles
Also, Kevin Newman is done for the year. Jason Martin joins the Pirates for the final eight games.
