Live Game Discussion: Pirates vs Cardinals, 8:00 PM, Game Two

The Pittsburgh Pirates (15-35) take on the St Louis Cardinals (23-24) in game two of a Friday night doubleheader. The Pirates lost game one by a 6-5 score. This is a makeup game of a previously postponed contest in St Louis, so the Cardinals will act as the home team in this game. The Pirates are sending out Chad Kuhl, while St Louis is countering with right-handed pitcher Daniel Ponce de Leon. Kuhl has made seven starts and two relief appearances. He has a 5.50 ERA in 34.1 innings, with 33 strikeouts and a 1.49 WHIP. Ponce de Leon will be making his seventh start. He has a 6.23 ERA in 21.2 innings, with 30 strikeouts and a 1.62 WHIP.
