The Pittsburgh Pirates activated 3B/1B Colin Moran ahead of Monday night’s game in Milwaukee. To make room on the active roster, Will Craig has been optioned to Altoona.
Moran has been out a week due to concussion symptoms suffered in a collision on the field last weekend. At the time of the injury, he was hitting .259/.326/.531 in the first 23 games, with six homers and 11 RBIs.
Craig debuted with the Pirates on Thursday during the doubleheader against the St Louis Cardinals. He also played Friday night as a late replacement, before being optioned to Altoona ahead of Saturday’s game. He returned yesterday when Bryan Reynolds went on the Paternity List, but he didn’t get into yesterday’s game. Craig went 0-for-4 in his first two games.
