The Pittsburgh Pirates have traded outfielder Jarrod Dyson to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for international bonus pool space.
Dyson was signed as a free agent during the off-season. He played 21 games for the Pirates, hitting .157/.218/.157 in 55 plate appearances, with four steals in four attempts. In his limited time, he had a -0.7 WAR, which was below average on offense and defense, which is a bit surprising because he’s always been a strong defender.
No word yet on the international bonus pool amount, but we will update it that’s released.
UPDATE:
Exact number on the Pirates international bonus pool money: $243,300.
