Makeup Dates Announced for Pirates/Cardinals Series

Major League Baseball has announced the makeup dates for the postponed series between the Pittsburgh Pirates and St Louis Cardinals from earlier this week. The Cardinals were unable to play the series due to multiple positive COVID-19 results on their team.

The two teams originally had an off-day on August 27th. That will now become a doubleheader in St Louis. The September 18th game in Pittsburgh has now become a doubleheader.

The doubleheader certainly adds some fun for the Pirates during a short season. Instead of having an off-day between games in Chicago and Milwaukee, they now travel down to St Louis for one day and two games. The Cardinals have it much easier. Their schedule had a day off between home games, so there is no travel before or after for them. It fell right in the middle of their 11-day homestand.
