First Pitch: Welcome to Pittsburgh Baseball Network

Welcome to Pittsburgh Baseball Network! I’ll have a more formal welcome and intro to the site tomorrow, after I sleep for about 16 hours. For today, follow the steps below to gain access to your account.

If you had a subscription to Pirates Prospects, you’ve got a subscription here. If you didn’t have a subscription to Pirates Prospects, you can sign up for PBN on the shop page.

Follow the steps below to set up your account and to browse the site.

STEP ONE: SET YOUR PASSWORD

Go to this page to set your password.

Once your password is reset, go to your account page and log in.

STEP TWO: FILL OUT YOUR PROFILE

Check out the new profile pages, and fill out your information. We’re going to be expanding this over the next week

STEP THREE: VISIT THE NEW SHOP

If you don’t have a subscription with us, then checking out the new shop should be the first step. We’re currently running an introductory sale on our subscriptions, offering annual, quarterly, and monthly plans.

We’ve also added baseball cards to the shop, and we’ll be expanding with more items in the near future.

STEP FOUR: BROWSE AROUND

We’ll have articles going up throughout the day, and we’ve got plenty to read on the Pittsburgh Baseball History page. There were three articles that went up yesterday while the site was in transition, so you’re already behind on your reading.

As a quick rule: the history site will obviously have all of the history articles. No Quarter will have everything else that Pirates Prospects used to have. Any game discussions will go on that site, as well as present day news and article topics.

STEP FIVE: LET US KNOW IF YOU SEE ANY ERRORS

I’ve been looking forward to this day for awhile, and I’ve been dreading it all week.

I’m just one guy running this site, and every time I’ve launched something new like this there has always been an unexpected error. I’m hoping any issues will be small, so that I can focus on continuing to build up the site.

If you see anything, let us know in the comments, or send me an email (timwilliams@pittsburghbaseball.com) and I’ll add it to the list.

RANDOM STUFF OF THE DAY

I’d rather not have anything random happen today, if at all possible.
